SATHI's approach

Children  in the De-addiction camp during Jyoti (*a reflection exercise)

SATHI’s approach towards de-addiction is quite unique and novel in its concept. It is a drug less mode of de-addiction which has over the years has evolved into a full fledged “De-addiction camp”.

Be it a slum camp for the street children or a “home orientation camp” for the run away children on railway platforms, the focus of SATHI has been de-addiction.

As a part of the camp, the children are taken to a remote village like place“secluded place with serene ambience” where there are no substances like: Gutkha, Ganja, Solution, etc. available.

The secluded place along with its great ambiance has a calming affect on these hyper-active children and through the concept of Meditation and  reflection exercises like “Jyoti”,   the children are made to do an introspection. Last but not the least, the camp requires the  staff to develop a “caring relationship” with the child and under the influence of this, the teacher guides the children towards the desired change
